Job summary

HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group in Denver, CO seeks a Site Civil Engineer to design facility-related sites for a range of markets and to lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction administration.

You’ll coordinate with internal/external resources, develop concept layouts, perform hydrology calculations, and produce plans, details, and cost estimates while mentoring junior staff and advancing HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to civil engineering scope of work and budgets for proposals.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record on non-complex projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources for due diligence and documentation.
• Develop concept site layouts compliant with jurisdictional requirements.
• Assist with community outreach and attend client meetings.
• Transition concept plans through schematic and construction design.
• Coordinate with subconsultants for design services.
• Produce plan sets, details, specs and cost estimates.
• Perform site development calculations (drainage, hydrology, etc.).
• Author technically sound reports and exercise engineering judgement.
