Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support solar energy project construction across the United States. This role requires relocation to project sites and frequent site rotation as projects progress from preconstruction to final acceptance.

You will work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents to ensure safety, quality, and timely execution while learning all phases of construction management on utility-scale assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent combination will be considered
• Basic knowledge of project management phases and safety regulations
• Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work
• Strong coordination, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents on all construction aspects of solar energy projects for an assigned scope from notice to proceed through final client acceptance
• Partner with project team to prioritize safety, quality, stewardship, leadership visibility and communication
• Resolve issues through face-to-face and direct communication
• Coordinate activities for execution of a project with oversight from the Superintendent
• Support project administration to ensure construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor progress on the project
• Support RFI and Submittal process for the assigned scope of work
• Handle contract administration, schedule management, spreadsheets/reports, non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
