Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an entry‑level Field Engineer to support solar and energy storage project construction nationwide. Based at a project site, you will work closely with Project Engineers, Managers and Superintendents to execute assigned scopes from preconstruction through final client acceptance.

Relocation to the project site for the length of the project is required, with relocation assistance possibly available.

Qualifications

• Recent grad or pursuing bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
• Internship experience in construction, engineering, or renewable energy is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and project specifications for civil and electrical work.
• Strong coordination, time management, communication, and analytical thinking required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents on all construction aspects of solar energy projects for an assigned scope, from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
• Partner with project team to prioritize safety, quality, and communication.
• Resolve issues through face-to-face communication and proactive problem solving.
• Coordinate activities for the overall execution of a project under the Superintendent’s guidance.
• Support project administration to ensure conformance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor progress on the project.
• Support RFI and submittal processes for the assigned scope of work.
• Maintain contract administration, schedule management, and risk/quality controls.
