Job summary

Louisiana State University invites applications for a University Laboratory School Database and Student Information System Manager. The role oversees the SIS administration, data integrity, reporting, and related data workflows at the University Laboratory School.

The position requires a strong background in information systems and educational technology, with collaboration across technology staff and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Educational Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

35% Student Information System Administration: Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for the University Laboratory School SIS and data applications; configure and maintain student records, calendars, grading, attendance, schedules, transcripts, programs, permissions, workflows, and other SIS functionality; manage system updates, releases, patches, and vendor communications; evaluate features and recommend enhancements; maintain documentation and train staff on SIS usage.
35% Data Integrity & Database Management: Establish and monitor data accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness; develop validation processes and audits; manage data imports/exports and database maintenance; define data ownership and lifecycle; support integrations with LMS, assessment platforms, food services, identity systems; troubleshoot APIs and data transfers.
20% Reporting and Data Analytics: Develop, maintain, and distribute reports; create dashboards and data extracts for enrollment, attendance, performance, staffing, scheduling; manage state and federal reporting; ensure consistent definitions and validated data.
10% Other Duties as assigned.
