Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking an energetic early-career Electrical Characterization Engineer to own wafer electrical test disposition for high-volume manufacturing silicon and inline process control, working with our New Product Introduction team ramping up Silicon Photonics.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in electrical engineering and statistics, with strong problem-solving and a passion to learn.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Working knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
Affinity for quick learning.

Responsibilities

Electrical characterization of semiconductor devices and HOL tests to sustain volume production.
Support general and urgent fab operation issues.
Review ET/OT/HOL/SPC data, analyze variation, improve line control.
Communicate with customers on electrical and optical targeting and trends.
Electrical analysis of controlled process changes for yield improvements.
Support ramp, cost reduction, and risk analysis with Engineering teams.
