Job summary

Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority in Alpena, MI is seeking a part-time SIP Technician to support individuals across multiple sites. You will operate electronic monitoring systems, respond to cues, and help ensure safety, health, and security in homes and communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities desirable.
• Lived experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.
• Good organizational and communication skills required.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Operates electronic monitoring systems and ensures each system works properly.
• Responds to incoming auditory clues for immediate support or intervention.
• Monitors health, safety, and security of designated individuals via monitoring systems.
• Provides support in the individual's home and/or community as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures and remains calm under pressure.
• Follows case recording guidelines and participates in team coordination.
