Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Labor Material Handling Equipment Simulator Operator/88H Technical Instructor to support the US Army Transportation School in Newport News, Virginia.
The role focuses on delivering hands-on training with material handling equipment simulators, while maintaining safe instructor-to-student ratios and ensuring curriculum alignment. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, USCG qualification, and proven instructional experience in a maritime or cargo
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant knowledge; USCG license; Maritime/Cargo Handling tech degree program.
- Ability to pass background check and vetting.
- Proven experience as Simulator Operator/88H Technical Instructor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite as part of workstation performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions on material handling equipment operations.
- Maintain an instructor-to-student ratio of up to 12:1 for 12 students and up to 8:1 for 8 students.
- Operate and manage material handling equipment simulators to provide realistic training.
- Integrate simulator training into the curriculum to enhance practical learning.
- Develop and update training materials, lesson plans, and guides.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of training content.
