Position: Installation Lead (Simulators)

Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Installation Lead provides on‑ground leadership and hands‑on install support to a team of field technicians installing State‑of‑the‑art baseball simulators across venues in the U.S. This highly visible, travel‑heavy field leadership role requires daily on‑site coordination, client interaction, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day on‑site installation activities: organize daily work, assign tasks, keep the team aligned, and ensure milestones are met.
• Support unloading, staging, and inventory verification for installation materials, tools, equipment, and simulator components.
• Participate directly in the physical installation of components, including cages, kiosks, ramps, turf, netting, displays, hardware, cabling, mounting, alignment, and calibration.
• Ensure the team follows installation protocols, layouts, checklists, and site‑specific instructions to complete installations accurately.
• Identify site conditions, space constraints, missing materials, damage, access issues, or other risks early and communicate to the Installation Manager.
• Troubleshoot installation issues in real time, identify workable solutions, and elevate when additional support is needed.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the installation process to meet Batbox standards prior to final review and handoff.
• Provide on‑site direction to local labor and third‑party contractors, setting daily expectations and ensuring safe, high‑quality work.
• Serve as the primary client‑facing contact, deliver simulator training to partners, and lead the final walkthrough for handover.
• Coach and support field technicians, maintaining professionalism, teamwork, communication, and client service.
• Enforce health and safety standards, administer PPE, and report incidents to the Installation Manager.
• Lead end‑of‑install activities, including testing, cleanup, documentation, and confirming simulator readiness.
• Prepare install readiness at the Batbox warehouse, managing supply kits, tools, and materials for the next project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field‑based installation experience, preferably in AV integration, interactive display technology, entertainment technology, experiential venues, or a hardware‑enabled environment.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, and directing field‑based teams.
• Hands‑on installation skills and comfort using tools and handling physical components.
• Willingness and ability to complete Batbox‑approved forklift/powered industrial truck training and become employer‑authorized to operate equipment.
• Calm under pressure during long days and changing site conditions.
• Professional appearance and strong client‑interaction skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of owning daily on‑site execution.
• Commitment to safety, quality, reliability, consistency, and repeatability.
• Clear and effective communication with both front‑line teams and clients.
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of spotting and resolving site issues early.
• Open to traveling 75%–85% of the time across the U.S., including extended periods.
• Physical capability to lift and carry 50+ lbs, use hand and power tools, and work in installation environments that involve standing, bending, squatting, climbing, and ladder use up to 12 feet.
