Job summary

University of Florida is seeking an Education/Training Specialist I to support the Simulation Technician I role within the Anaclerio Learning Center. The position coordinates educational activities, runs simulations, and aids in developing training initiatives to improve individual and organizational performance.

The role involves operating simulators and AV equipment, facilitating case training, and assisting with risk management and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic Life Support training must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support faculty, staff, and students in the learning and assessment center to achieve course objectives.
• Operate simulators, audio/visual, computer, and other simulation-related equipment.
• Facilitate simulation case training and faculty training on simulation equipment.
• Assist with risk management and safety assurance and routine safety checks.
• Record center activities and monitor equipment as needed.
• Assist with room scheduling and maintain proficiency in simulation technology.
• Monitor material usage to promote cost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist in data collection and development of new courses or training initiatives.
