Job summary

Summa Health System provides technical and operational support for simulation-based education, including high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, audiovisuals, and other equipment. The role involves rearranging spaces, operating manikins, and possibly acting as a standardized patient, with moulage for realistic injuries.

Collaboration with faculty and healthcare professionals ensures safe, realistic simulation experiences.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain American Heart Association certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain CHSOS within 12 months of qualifying degree or 36 months without qualifying degree.
• Experience in simulation and in a medical setting preferred.
• Computer/electronics knowledge; experience with 3D print systems.
• Experience with acting/voice acting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for simulation-based education and training including high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, audiovisual systems, wet labs, and other equipment.
• Rearrange spaces and manikins for different course material; operate manikins; voice acting and/or act as a standardized patient; recreate wounds/injuries with moulage.
• Create/prototype new props and anatomical models for props/trainers.
• Collaborate with faculty, healthcare professionals, and learners to ensure safe, realistic, and effective simulation experiences.
