Job summary

Allegheny Health Network at the STAR Center in Erie seeks a skilled specialist to implement simulation courses, set up equipment and supplies, and support instructors across diverse programs. You will manage equipment troubleshooting, course proposals, calendars, and weekly reminders.

You will maintain safety checklists and support the LMS, uploading courses, running reports, and providing technical help to LMS users to ensure seamless operation of mobile and fixed units.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required.
  • Related simulation experience recommended.
  • Experience with audio/visual equipment troubleshooting.
  • Video recording/editing experience.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate simulation equipment and task trainers.
  • Program, develop, and implement simulation scenarios.
  • Instruct course facilitators teaching at STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units.
  • Maintain a database for courses, proposals, checklists and learners.
  • Oversee daily operations of STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units.
  • Maintain calendar, schedule courses and equipment usage, send reminders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
GENERAL OVERVIEW

Responsible for the implementation of all courses at the STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units to include setting up equipment, supplies for all courses, meeting any needs pertaining to supplies or equipment during courses and cleaning up after courses. Provides instruction in the Simulation Center to all course facilitators, including nurses, physicians, staff and community educators. Responsible for operation and troubleshooting of all simulation equipment and task trainers and ensures they are cleaned and functioning properly. Responsible for ensuring that all safety checklists are completed on a regular basis. Maintains and supports learning management system to include uploading courses, adding participants, running reports, and providing technical support to LMS users.

  • Scenario programming, development and implementation. (20%)
