Position Description

The Simulation Specialist plays a critical role as part of the JA Discovery Center Experience Team. The main responsibilities are supporting the simulation managers on program set-up, facilitation, and clean-up. The simulation specialist facilitates valuable discussions with teachers, engages middle school students in simulation activities, and successfully helps the students navigate through JA BizTown and/or JA Finance Park. This role will provide a high level of customer service to all visitors (volunteers, teachers, middle school students, etc.). The JA Discovery Center focuses on teamwork to support one another through a high level of communication and collaboration.

Looking For Individuals Who:
  • Want to empower and be a role model for middle school students in the state of Georgia
  • Can commit to three or more weekdays (Monday – Friday) per week
  • Have availability each day from 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Have a high degree of reliability and adaptability
  • Work well in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Can be on their feet for long periods of time
  • Are comfortable with public speaking.
Qualifications: Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, and/or relevant work experience
  • Facilitation, coaching, and presentation experience is necessary; computer literacy a must
  • Demonstrated collaboration and strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter who enjoys providing exceptional customer-focused service and building mutually beneficial networks of supporters
