Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Software Engineer to develop test and training simulations for the AF SIM framework, contributing C++ work on an Agile Scrum team while maintaining Java components.

You will design, implement and extend simulation entities, develop tools for operations automation, and collaborate with system support groups to resolve issues and improve performance in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in software development or a similar role.
• Experience building simulation frameworks for test and training use cases.
• Proficiency in C++, AF SIM, and Java development.
• Familiarity with Spring-based frameworks without Spring Boot.
• Understanding of coding standards and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop software updates for simulation and training systems using C++ and AF SIM.
• Support and maintain existing Java-based software components.
• Develop new simulation entities and extend frameworks for new entity behaviors.
• Analyze and support software products, including debugging and documentation.
