Trace3 in Colorado Springs is seeking a Software Engineer to develop test and training simulations and contribute to a dynamic Agile Scrum team. You will work primarily in C++ with the AF SIM framework, while maintaining existing Java-based components and supporting simulation entities and tooling.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, expertise with AFSIM plugins, and familiarity with Java Spring and XML configurations, not Spring Boot.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in simulation frameworks.
• Experience with C++, AFSIM plugins, and Java components.
• Familiarity with XML configurations without Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Develop software updates for simulation and training systems using C++ and AFSIM.
• Support and maintain existing Java-based software components.
• Develop new simulation entities and extend frameworks for new behaviors.
• Analyze and support software products, including debugging and testing.
• Maintain and configure software products and assist with design and documentation.
• Interface with system support groups to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Create tools for operations automation.
• Contribute across multiple phases of software development with guidance.
