Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Simulation Lab Technician to provide technical and mechanical support for the hospital's simulation center. You will operate simulators and cameras, set up and maintain AV systems, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth training exercises.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or related field (or 8 years of combined education/experience) and at least 2 years of related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or related field required, OR 8 years combined education/experience.
• 2+ years related experience in a simulation or clinical support environment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to learn additional software for simulation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Program simulator software to model physiological responses per instructor specifications.
• Operate patient simulators and cameras for simulations.
• Set up, run, and debrief simulation labs and maintain AV systems.
• Maintain and repair simulation equipment, including mannequins and monitors.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Provide technical support for task trainers and multimedia peripherals.
