Job Summary
The Simulation Instructional Specialist supports Union University’s mission of providing Christ-centered, excellence-driven nursing education. This dual-role (teaching staff) position provides teaching and leadership within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, facilitating simulation-based learning across the undergraduate curriculum. This position integrates Christian faith and service with clinical expertise, simulation technology, and instructional excellence to promote learning, and prepare students to be competent, compassionate and practice-ready professional nurses.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an unencumbered RN license in the state of Tennessee. Candidates must have clinical expertise (three years RN experience) and experience teaching in an undergraduate nursing program. Strong teamwork skills, coaching, communication, and organizational skills are required, as well as experience with computer software systems (including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets).
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with a Master of Science in Nursing or a willingness to enroll in a graduate nursing program. Also preferred is knowledge of simulation technology, scenario design, and evidence-based educational practices; experience with simulators, virtual reality, or simulation platforms in an academic or professional setting; and familiarity with CCNE accreditation and program evaluation processes. Preference also will be given to applicants with certification in simulation ( CHSE or CHSOS ) or willingness to obtain certification within two years
