Job description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Simulation Engineer in our Novi, Michigan facility.

The Simulation Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining CAD Data. The ideal candidate will have prior simulation experience, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain all CAD Data related to a program as specified by the project engineer and/or customer.
• Create and maintain simulation and die processes, both 2D and 3D, based on internal and external customer requirements.
• Develop basic to advanced process proposals based on direction from product design engineering and/or engineering analysis.
• Recommend alternative design scenarios to meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Create and modify 3D surfaces.
• Interface with Project Engineering, Manufacturing Division, and Customer to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Division to ensure all formability requirements are met.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Simulation Engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive and/or tooling environment.
• Proficiency in NX 3D Surfacing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
