Job description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opening for a Simulation Engineer at our Novi stamping facility.

The Simulation Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining CAD data. The ideal candidate will have prior simulation experience, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

Summary of Responsibilities:

1. Create and maintain all CAD data related to a program as specified by the project engineer and/or customer.
2. Create and maintain simulation and die processes, both 2D and 3D, based on customer requirements.
3. Develop process proposals from basic to advanced levels based on input from design engineering and analysis.
4. Recommend alternative design scenarios to meet or exceed customer requirements.
5. Create and modify 3D surfaces.
6. Coordinate with Project Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers to meet project requirements.
7. Work with Manufacturing to ensure formability requirements are met.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of experience as a Simulation Engineer.
2. At least 5 years of experience in the automotive or tooling environment.
3. Proficiency in NX 3D Surfacing.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
