Role: Simulation & Calibration Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation & Calibration Support Engineer to join our client’s team based in Plymouth, MI. This position is primarily customer-facing, serving as the Point of Contact (PoC) to support, troubleshoot, and calibrate off-the-shelf After-Treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with After-Treatment engines, combined with strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink simulations and familiarity with AutoSAR. The role involves troubleshooting system behavior, supporting test-cell diagnostics, and collaborating with internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical liaison to customers, supporting calibration and troubleshooting of After-Treatment systems.
• Investigate and resolve software behavior issues using customer-provided data, identifying root causes of system malfunctions.
• Work closely with software calibration engineers during control system hardware failure diagnostics in test environments.
• Perform diagnostic testing and emissions registration on After-Treatment engines (test-cell calibration testing).
• Utilize MATLAB and Simulink for simulation and modeling of NextGen After-Treatment systems.
• Interpret and analyze results from AutoSAR for effective troubleshooting and support.
• Provide clear communication and technical guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
• Background in working with After-Treatment engines or relevant diagnostic testing tools and methods.
• Proficiency or familiarity with AutoSAR tools and architecture.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a customer-facing, technical support environment.
