Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Simulation Educator to support curricular, assessment, and educational-design aspects of standardized patient and simulation-based learning. The role involves hands-on simulation operations and maintaining high-fidelity simulators and AV capture systems.

You will collaborate with faculty and leadership to identify educational needs, design and implement complex clinical learning experiences, and recruit, train, and evaluate the SP pool

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related program, education, or a similar field.
• Two (2) years full-time experience in simulation training and/or as an educator/trainer, including experience coordinating learning activities, workshops, or seminars.
• Demonstrated working proficiency operating simulation audiovisual/recording systems and high-fidelity simulators/task trainers, or equivalent technical simulation-operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex clinical learning experiences.
• Support recruitment, training, and evaluation of the SP pool.
• Configure, operate, and maintain high-fidelity simulators and AV capture systems.
• Collaborate with faculty and departmental leadership to identify educational and training needs.
• Develop and refine simulation case materials.
