Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services, LLC, in support of US Army battle simulations, seeks a senior officer with combat logistics leadership to join the Scenario Development Branch. You will work closely with the BSC and report to the Branch Chief, applying extensive experience in sustainment operations and training design.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, graduate of War College, and hands-on command of sustainment brigades.

Qualifications

• Qualified Officer in US Army combat service support; Colonel (06) or above, War College graduate.
• BA/BS from an accredited US institution.
• Direct experience commanding sustainment or logistics brigades.
• Able to provide C2 of DSB sustainment operations ISO 21 ABN or higher JTF operations.
• Experience with WARSIM or equivalent battlefield simulation.
• Knowledge of WARNORD, FRAGORD, OPORD content.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Support ten BCT rotational training exercises annually.
• Replicate command elements of a US Army Division Sustainment Brigade within simulations.
• Coordinate with COG, TF Sustainment OCT, P/EMC Chief, and Operations Planners to synchronize and replicate DSB operations for 21 ABN/JTF-21 exercises.
• Develop simulated DSB scenario deliverables for 21 ABN/JTF-21 events (CUB, CTSB, OPSYNC, Division Orders Brief).

Job description

DUTIES:

• Works as a member of the Scenario Development Branch (SDB) with duties in the Battle Simulation Center (BSC).
• Position reports directly to the Branch Chief, SDB.
• Responsible for supporting ten (10), US Army Brigade Combat Team (BCT) rotational training exercises annually.
• Rotational training exercises are approximately 14 to 21 days in length.
• Typical duties and responsibilities: replicates the Commander of a simulated US Army Division Sustainment Brigade; conducts close coordination with the Commander Operations Group (COG), Task Force Sustainment Senior OCT, Plans and Exercise Maneuver Control (P/EMC) Chief (Z06), and Operations Planners (Z01/Z03) to synchronize and replicate the operations of the simulated US Army DSB assigned to 21 ABN Division in-support-of (ISO) JTF-21 operations; develop simulated US Army DSB scenario deliverables 21 ABN or JTF-21 battle rhythm events (Commander's Updates (CUB), Commander's Targeting Synchronization Brief (CTSB), Operation Sync (OPSYNC), Division Orders Brief, etc.); perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Army combat service support (primarily logistics) qualified Officer; Colonel (06) or above; graduate of the US Army War College.
• BA or BS from an accredited US institution of higher learning.
• Direct experience Commanding a US Army Sustainment Brigade, Army Field Support Brigade, functional Logistics Brigade, or Sustainment Brigade equivalent.
• Must be capable of providing Command and Control (C2) of DSB sustainment operations ISO 21 ABN or higher level JTF combat operations.
• Possess a working proficiency, as a SB or Expeditionary Sustainment Command unit commander, operating within the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) or an equivalent battlefield simulation environment.
• Must be capable of planning, developing, articulating (written and verbal), and executing SB Division Concept of Sustainment concepts.
• Possess a mastery of current US Army and Joint operations doctrine; primarily the 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 series.
• Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE).
• Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with hand-held radio systems (Harris XL-200P (P25) or equivalent).
• Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with tactical Frequency Modulation (FM) radio systems (Single-Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) or equivalent).
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• May be required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a valid SECRET clearance.
• Individual must be adaptive, flexible, imaginative; able to work effectively in a time constrained and dynamically changing environment.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure scenario consistency and fidelity.
• Must be able to effectively and independently research, develop, organize, and communicate diverse military operations concepts.
• Possess a mastery of US Army Warning Order (WARNORD), Fragmentary Order (FRAGORD), and Operations Order (OPORD) content and composition.
• Must possess an understanding of commonly used US military acronyms and terminology.
• Must be able to work non-standard schedules that include extended hours and/or weekends based on mission requirements.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recent operations experience as a deployed Commander, US Army Sustainment Brigade, Army Field Support Brigade or functional Logistics Brigade operating in the USINDOPACOM, USCENTCOM, or USAREUR-AF theater within the past 5 years.
• Previous CTC operations exercise design or CTC operations Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) experience as a Sustainment Task Force Senior, Support Operations, Sustainment Battalion Senior Staff, or BCT S4 OC/T.
