Valiant Integrated Services, LLC is seeking a Simulated BCT Commander to join our team in a role focused on developing and executing high-fidelity battle simulations for US Army BCT operations. You will replicate a BCT commander, synchronize with operations planners, and deliver scenario products tied to 21 ABN/JTF-21 events.

Strong C2 experience, readiness to travel, and ability to work non-standard schedules are essential.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS from an accredited US institution.
  • US Army combat arms (primarily maneuver) qualified Officer; Colonel (06) or above; graduate of the US Army War College.
  • Direct experience commanding a US Army BCT or higher Joint Task Force (JTF).
  • Capable of providing Command and Control of BCT tactical operations ISO 21 ABN or higher level JTF combat operations.
  • Proficiency with WARSIM or equivalent battlefield simulation environment.
  • Knowledge of US Army doctrine (WARNORD, FRAGORD, OPORD).
  • Experience with CPOF and CPCE; radio systems (Harris XL-200P, SINCGARS).
  • Proficient in MS Office; able to research, develop and communicate diverse military concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Support ten US Army BCT rotational training exercises annually (14–21 days each).
  • Replicate the Commander of a simulated US Army BCT and coordinate with COG, P/EMC Chief, and Operations Planners.
  • Develop simulated BCT scenario deliverables ISO 21 ABN or JTF battle rhythm events (CUB, CTSB, OPSYNC, Division Orders Brief).
  • Maintain scenario fidelity and ensure alignment with mission requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Valiant is looking for a Simulated BCT Commander to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works as a member of the Scenario Development Branch (SDB) with duties in the Battle Simulation Center (BSC).
  • Position reports directly to the Branch Chief, SDB.
  • Responsible for supporting ten (10), US Army Brigade Combat Team (BCT) rotational training exercises annually. Rotational training exercises are approximately 14 to 21 days in length.
  • Replicates the Commander of a simulated US Army BCT.
  • Conducts close coordination with the Commander Operations Group (COG), Plans and Exercise Maneuver Control (P/EMC) Chief (Z06), and Operations Planners (Z01/Z03) to synchronize and replicate the operations of the simulated US Army BCT with 21 ABN Division or JTF-21 operations.
  • Develop simulated US Army BCT scenario deliverables in-support-of (ISO) 21 ABN or JTF-21 battle rhythm events (Commander's Updates (CUB), Commander's Targeting Synchronization Brief (CTSB), Operation Sync (OPSYNC), Division Orders Brief, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

Active Secret.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
  • BA or BS from an accredited US institution of higher learning.
  • US Army combat arms (primarily maneuver) qualified Officer; Colonel (06) or above; graduate of the US Army War College.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Direct experience Commanding a US Army BCT or higher Joint Task Force (JTF).
  • Must be capable of providing Command and Control (C2) of BCT tactical operations ISO 21 ABN or higher level JTF combat operations.
  • Possess a working proficiency, as a BCT or higher JTF unit commander, operating within the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) or an equivalent battlefield simulation environment.
  • Must be capable of planning, developing, articulating (written and verbal), and executing BCT combined arms/maneuver operations concepts.
  • Possess a mastery of current US Army and Joint operations doctrine; primarily the 1, 3, 5, and 6 series.
  • Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE).
  • Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with hand-held radio systems (Harris XL-200P (P25) or equivalent).
  • Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with tactical Frequency Modulation (FM) radio systems (Single-Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) or equivalent).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Individual must be adaptive, flexible, imaginative; able to work effectively in a time constrained and dynamically changing environment.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure scenario consistency and fidelity.
  • Must be able to effectively and independently research, develop, organize, and communicate diverse military operations concepts.
  • Possess a mastery of US Army Warning Order (WARNORD), Fragmentary Order (FRAGORD), and Operations Order (OPORD) content and composition.
  • Must possess an understanding of commonly-used US military acronyms and terminology.
  • Must be able to work non-standard schedules that include extended hours and/or weekends based on mission requirements.
  • Must be able to travel unaccompanied to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Recent operations experience as a deployed Commander, US Army BCT or higher level JTF operating in the USINDOPACOM, USCENTCOM, or USAREUR-AF theater within the past 5 years.
  • Previous CTC operations exercise design or CTC operations Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) experience as a Maneuver Task Force Senior or as the Maneuver Brigade C2 (BC2) Senior.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
