Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Sim Lab Adjunct Faculty Per Diem at the Southern Campus to develop and evaluate simulation-based nursing activities, support faculty, and mentor students in high-fidelity lab environments.

The role requires MA or MS in Nursing, RN licensure in New Jersey, and CHSE or near-term certification; prior patient care and simulation experience are preferred. This per diem position emphasizes teaching professionalism and continual improvement of the nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts simulation activities using evidence-based standards.
• Implements evidence-based teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context.
• Practices skilled oral, written, and electronic communication and conveys ideas effectively in a variety of contexts.
• Shows enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nursing that inspires and motivates students.
• Participates in the School's student success initiatives by assisting students in implementing individualized remediation plans.
• Provides tutoring in areas identified by students as needing assistance, including care plan development, concept mapping, drug dosage calculations, and medication administration.
• Identifies individual learning styles and unique learning needs of students.
• Provides resources to diverse learners that help meet meet their individual learning needs.
• Models professional behaviors for learners, including involvement in professional organizations, engagement in lifelong learning activities, dissemination of information through publications and presentations, and advocacy.
• Contributes to curriculum updates based on assessment of program outcomes, learner needs, and societal and health care trends.
