Job summary

Wipro's Reality Labs team seeks an AMS Silicon Validation Engineer to validate high-performance silicon and ensure quality delivery. You will collaborate across HW/SW/FW to test, debug and validate complex systems in Sunnyvale, CA.

The role requires hands-on experience with SoC bring-up, embedded firmware, Python scripting and JTAG tooling, with a focus on robust validation strategies and agile adaptability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or relevant field.
• 8-10 years of silicon validation experience.
• Experience with pre-silicon validation platforms (FPGA/emulation) preferred.
• Strong debugging, test execution and problem-solving skills on SoCs.

Responsibilities

• Develop SoC and end-to-end system validation plans and execute them.
• Create FW tooling for debugging and validation.
• Power and performance characterization on pre-silicon platforms and post-silicon boards.
• Test firmware functionality, performance and reliability; diagnose issues.

Summary

The Reality Labs team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of silicon, hardware, software, and content. The Reality Labs team seeks an AMS Silicon Validation Engineer. As a Silicon System Validation Engineer, you will be part of the RL Silicon Validation team validating high performance silicon and leading the effort to ensure high-quality silicon delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for SoC and E2E system validation plan development, and execution
• Develop FW tooling for debug and validation
• Understand system HW/SW/FW component as a whole and do test execution and debugging
• Power and performance characterization on pre-silicon platforms and post-silicon validation boards
• Create diagnostic and validation tools to test firmware functionality, performance, and reliability
• Able to work in an agile environment, changing roadmaps and be able to adapt validation plans based on changes.

Skills

• Hands‑on experience in bring‑up and validation of complex SoCs.
• 3+ years of embedded systems or firmware development experience
• Experience in scripting language like python preferred, ability to read and debug FW/baremetal code in C, high level of proficiency in C (preferred)
• Familiarity with firmware testing frameworks and automation, proficiency with JTAG debuggers
• Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues
• [Preferred] Knowledge and experience in pre‑silicon validation platforms (i.e., FPGA and emulation).
• [Preferred] Proficient in lab instruments such as Oscilloscope, analyzers
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $180,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
