Job summary

Wipro in Austin, TX is seeking a silicon lab engineer with SiVal, power and performance measurements and lab experience to drive silicon bring-up, validation and power characterization. You will lead lab activities, validate test chips, and develop power/performance analysis strategies in a hands-on environment.

The role emphasizes scripting for automation and data analysis, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize workloads and hardware performance in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in an electrical silicon lab using oscilloscopes, JTAG and power analyzers.
• Experience with Python-based automation and scripting (e.g., data analysis), Android and iOS.

Responsibilities

• Perform test chip validation and silicon power measurements while conducting in-depth performance and power analysis.

• Develop data science based methods to profile workloads for performance and power analysis and optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working in an electrical silicon lab using oscilloscopes, JTAG and power analyzers
• Experience with Python-based automation and scripting (e.g., data analysis), Android and iOS

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
• Experience with iOS or Android system kernels.
• Experience with device calibration and trimming procedures.
• Experience with printed circuit board (PCB)-level mixed-signal validation or debugging on IPs (e.g., temperature sensors, current sensors, droop detectors, ADC, or Class-D amplifiers).
• Experience with PLLs, ADC, current sensors, or ring oscillators.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $128, 000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
