The California Community Foundation in Los Angeles seeks an Events and Convening Center Manager to lead signature events, donor cultivation, and center utilization, reporting to the director of marketing and communications.

You will oversee onsite logistics, vendor contracts, and budget management, while supervising staff at the Joan Palevsky Center for the Future of Los Angeles, ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for users and visitors.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in event management experience required.
• Experience with conference center operations and marketing materials preferred.
• Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software; Blackbaud preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop strategic signature events to advance the foundation's mission and donor engagement.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage onsite event logistics, branding, and collateral.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and oversee budgets, invoices and payments.
• Oversee the Joan Palevsky Center operations and staff, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
• Evaluate events post‑hoc to capture learnings for future programs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to align events with organizational goals.
