Job summary

The California Community Foundation (CCF) in Los Angeles seeks a temporary event manager to lead the planning and execution of its signature donor-facing events. Reporting to the director of marketing and communications, this role will coordinate logistics, vendors, invitations and on-site operations to ensure events run smoothly and align with CCF priorities.

The position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic nonprofit setting, with emphasis on collaboration, budgeting, and cross-team support

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years in event management.
• Graphic design and writing experience or work in a marketing department preferred.
• Prior nonprofit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute signature events for donors and partners; manage timelines, venues, and vendors.
• Coordinate on-site logistics, invitations, signage, AV and staff assignments.
• Research vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor budgets and invoices.
• Provide general support to the Marketing and Communications team and assist with publications and social media.
