Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) seeks a Director of Events to lead end-to-end event strategy, production, and evaluation for campus, programmatic, and offsite events in a hybrid capacity at our downtown Los Angeles office.

You will manage budgets, lead space rentals, optimize event platforms, and develop detailed production timelines while coordinating staffing for LACI events, including the marquee Summit and flagship programs like Power Day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in event management, hospitality, communications, business, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience leading event strategy, marketing, and production with budgets and venues.
• Proven leadership and staff management experience.
• Team player ready to solve problems and get the job done.
• Strong project management, time-management, production and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in Agile environments to hit goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, adept with high-profile stakeholders.
• Data-driven analysis of pre/post-event KPIs and evaluating tech solutions.
• Passion for sustainability, clean tech, and social impact.
• CMP certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, scheduling, execution, evaluation, and marketing strategy for LACI events.
• Use data-driven decisions with pre-event targets and post-event ROI metrics.
• Oversee event platforms (Splash/Cvent, Asana, Mailchimp, Slido, IVY).
• Manage large-scale event production from start to finish.
• Coordinate day-of-event communications via group platforms (WhatsApp).
• Create ROS and Look Books for large events.
• Source and manage event rentals, swag, and promos.
• Research venue options for offsite events.
• Align messaging with content across channels and programs.
• Oversee LACI’s event space rental program and contracts.
