Job summary

Thanksgiving Point is seeking a part-time Signature Events Assistant to support Luminaria and other holiday experiences. You will greet guests, provide directions and information, and help keep event areas running smoothly while staying active and engaging with visitors.

Ideal candidates are dependable, friendly, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in outdoor winter conditions. Benefits include free limited membership and workplace perks, with a strong team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a great guest experience by greeting guests warmly and providing information.
• Monitor guest flow, assist with lines, seating areas, and attractions.
• Set up, operate, and take down assigned event areas; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with event managers, staff, volunteers, and security to run events smoothly.
• Support safety procedures and assist guests with accessibility and special needs.

Signature Events Assistant Job Description

Wage: $12-15/hour

Shift: Part time. Mon-Sat. Hours vary depending on event schedule.

Thanksgiving Point’s Luminaria is one of Utah’s most beloved holiday experiences, welcoming thousands of guests each season to enjoy dazzling lights, festive experiences, and time together with family and friends.

As a Luminaria Event Support Team Member, you’ll help bring this experience to life. You’ll be one of the friendly faces guests turn to throughout their visit—helping them find their way, keeping event areas running smoothly, and helping create an experience that feels welcoming, magical, and safe.

What You’ll Do

• Create a Great Guest Experience
• Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm and help make their visit enjoyable.
• Provide directions, event information, and assistance throughout the experience.
• Monitor guest flow and assist with lines, seating areas, attractions, and other guest areas.
• Help guests navigate the event and find the support they need.
• Keep the Event Running Smoothly
• Assist with the setup, operation, and take-down of assigned event areas.
• Help maintain cleanliness, presentation, and organization throughout the event.
• Stay attentive to what is happening around you and assist with operational needs as they arise.
• Be a Great Teammate
• Support event managers and supervisors by communicating updates and responding to changing needs.
• Work collaboratively with Thanksgiving Point staff, volunteers, security, facilities, and other teams.
• Jump in where needed to help the event run safely and smoothly.
• Help Keep Guests Safe
• Follow Thanksgiving Point safety procedures and event protocols.
• Assist with responding appropriately to guest incidents and concerns.
• Help maintain accessible and welcoming event areas for guests of all abilities.
• Communicate safety or operational concerns to supervisors
