Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Odenton is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve all drinks per specifications and to provide a dining experience that meets guests’ expectations. You will serve timely beverages to the service staff and perform cashier duties for bar guests and staff.

Responsibilities include setting up the bar, stocking, mixing drinks, greeting guests, handling orders, and maintaining bar cleanliness while adhering to liquor laws.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service.
• Extensive wine knowledge.
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
• Diplomatically handle difficult situations with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Handle stress in a fast-paced environment and complete orders quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up bar and complete opening/side work to par levels.
• Stock bar with liquor, beverages and bar supplies.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and dining room guests.
• Greet guests, make beverage recommendations, and answer questions.
• Process orders and ring beverages for bar guests and service staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and comply with liquor laws and policies.
• Support Take Out guests and perform cashiering duties for service staff and guests.
• Follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified.
