Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is seeking a Signal Supervisor to lead teams responsible for repair, inspection, and installation of critical railroad signal and traffic-control systems. You will bring hands-on technical expertise together with strong leadership to ensure safe and reliable rail operations.

You will help plan work, supervise field crews, and ensure regulatory compliance under FRA regulations. This role emphasizes safety, precision, and meaningful impact on railroad reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to read complex safety rules and manuals.
• Experience with FRA regulations governing railroad-signal
• Proficiency with data collection and basic statistics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspection, testing, and maintenance of crossing and train control systems per FRA regulations.
• Oversee installation of signal and traffic-control equipment per plans and standards.
• Plan work assignments; manage schedules and material availability.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting signal issues and restoring service.
• Investigate accidents and issue restorative work orders.
• Perform quality checks and testing of systems for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and audit records of tests, inspections, and repairs.
• Assist with inspection coverage during vacancies to ensure compliance.
• Train employees on operating practices per regulations and policies.
