Job summary

Vanta is seeking an Operations Manager, Signal Systems to own the data signals that power our EPD organization. You will bring new signal sources online end to end, identify failure modes, and build systems that ensure data is trustworthy and usable by multiple teams.

This role emphasizes reducing manual work with engineering solutions and mentoring teammates. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and design to create scalable data pipelines, validate at write time, and ensure

Qualifications

• No CS degree or formal engineering tenure required.
• Shipping real things fast with AI-assisted tooling clears our bar.
• Experience shipping a pipeline, internal tool, or prototype in the last 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

• Bring new signal sources online end to end — from discovery and scoping through ingestion, standardization, and live operation
• Identify failure modes in each information source and build systems to mitigate them at ingestion
• Go to teams that produce/consume a signal and build accordingly
• Replace human diligence with engineering solutions at write time
• Build alongside teammates who are growing into building and raise their technical ceiling
• Partner with inference and systems layers to ensure data is queryable and trustworthy
