Job summary

OuterSignal Inc. is seeking a Business Operations Manager to act as the right hand to the VP of Operations. This fully remote role covers HR, finance, and admin, with overlap with Eastern hours.

You’ll own reporting, automation, onboarding/offboarding, and cross-functional project delivery. You’ll build operational dashboards, drive process improvements, and help secure enterprise deals through SOC 2 readiness and vendor reviews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a generalist operations role, business operations, strategy and operations, or program management.
• Owned ambiguous projects end to end with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on use of AI tools to accelerate work.
• Analytical: builds metrics and dashboards to drive decisions.
• Clear and direct writing with cross-functional collaboration.
• Bonus: people ops, SOC 2/security questionnaire work, e-commerce or SaaS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own priority operational projects end to end from scope to outcome.
• Automate repetitive tasks using AI tools or no-code platforms; build internal tools.
• Manage day-to-day ops: onboarding/offboarding, payroll & benefits, HRIS, vendor agreements.
• Define operational metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility in Notion.
• Own security questionnaires, vendor reviews, data processing agreements, and SOC 2 efforts.
