Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Signal Integrity Engineer to lead high-speed data transmission analysis. You will contribute to customer system development, from concept through production, and develop test strategies for new products.

The role requires strong SI expertise and hands-on measurement experience. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in SI with electromagnetic principles and is skilled in HFSS/CST/HSPICE tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 3+ years in industry with electromagnetic principles for digital SI.
• Experience with high-speed connectors in communications equipment is a plus.
• Hands-on SI measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, generators and detectors.
• Experience with SI simulation/analysis tools such as HFSS, Designer, CST, HSPICE, MatLab, ADS.
• Strong frequency- and time-domain component and circuit characterization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on customer system development from concept to production.
• Develop integration and test strategies for new product introductions.
• Provide SI solutions for high-speed data transmission needs.
• Design, simulate, and evaluate production test platforms.
• Support production to maintain test and measurement excellence.
• Assist Sales Engineers with product break-in strategies at accounts.
• Design, build, and measure boards for verification of products.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed design PCB layout principles.
• Share knowledge and improve methods and workflows.
