Job summary

Wendover Art Group seeks a Signage Consultant who blends design strategy with technical know-how to develop comprehensive signage programs for hospitality and commercial environments. You’ll collaborate with interior designers, architects, and brands to interpret spaces and convert concepts into executable signage solutions.

You will translate brand standards, regulatory requirements, and budgets into cohesive signage systems while ensuring accessibility and life-safety compliance.

Qualifications

• ,Background in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Graphic Design, Experiential Design, Signage, Wayfinding, or a related discipline
• Strong aesthetic judgment with understanding of interiors, architecture, branding, materials and spatial design
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, elevations and specifications
• Understanding of wayfinding, signage placement, accessibility, and code considerations
• Confident communicating and presenting to designers, architects, ownership groups and senior clients
• Ability to translate complex project requirements into clear, executable solutions
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization and attention to detail
• Commercial mindset with interest in client development and business growth
• Ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing quality
• Proficiency with design, presentation and business software

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive signage programs for hospitality and commercial environments
• Build trusted relationships with A&D firms, interior designers, architects, hospitality brands, ownership groups, and purchasing firms
• Read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, floor plans, specifications, and signage schedules
• Understand how guests move through a space and identify signage needs, placement, and function
• Translate brand standards, design concepts, regulatory requirements, and budgets into cohesive signage solutions
• Advise clients on signage types, placement, materials, finishes, construction methods, and design opportunities
• Create and present compelling concept presentations, signage packages, and recommendations
• Understand applicable code, accessibility, and life-safety requirements and incorporate them into signage strategy
• Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure concepts are sound, manufacturable, and executable
• Own projects from early planning and design through approval, production and execution
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow Wendover’s signage business
• Represent Wendover in client meetings, presentations, site discussions, and industry events
