Job summary

J&A / Modulex, based in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Project Designer to transform client visions into buildable signage solutions. The role blends graphic design with technical drawings and CAD files to support architectural environments.

You will collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and clients to develop concepts and production-ready files, ensuring design integrity from concept to installation. This hybrid full-time position offers growth in environmental graphics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Industrial Design or Architecture.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in signage design, wayfinding, or environmental graphic design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing spatial graphics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop signage families including exterior, interior, ADA-compliant, and digital signage.
• Interpret brand guidelines and architectural context into visual systems.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication-ready files with CAD.
• Coordinate with project managers and fabricators to ensure designs are feasible and code-compliant.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and inform design accuracy.
• Prepare client presentations, submittals, and revisions with stakeholder feedback.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, fabrication technologies, and accessibility regulations.
• Maintain organized design documentation and version control.
