Job summary

FASTSIGNS is seeking a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced printing and installation environment. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl and full-color graphics, prepare substrates, and ensure quality from file to finished sign.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in sign production, can lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and perform finishing tasks with accuracy. Training and competitive pay accompany ongoing opportunities across FASTSIGNS locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds.
• Attention to detail and ability to read work orders.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates: cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning.
• Weed excess vinyl and perform weeding for various sizes and types.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Quality check against Work Orders and proof for errors.
• Finish jobs: laminating and mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels to center/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printers and
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
