Job summary

FASTSIGNS #41701 in Buford, GA is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl or full-color graphics, prepare substrates, and maintain printing equipment to deliver high-quality signs.

The role includes performing weed/removal, finishing with laminating or mounting, and ensuring accuracy per Work Orders while managing inventory reporting and storage areas.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4+ hours).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow layouts to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
• Weed excess vinyl and manage varying techniques by project.
• Operate and maintain printers and related equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-production quality checks against Work Orders.
• Finish printed pieces by laminating or mounting as required.
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center/production manager.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will:

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist:

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
