FASTSIGNS Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team. The role involves following layouts to apply vinyl or full-color graphics, preparing substrates, weeding vinyl, operating printers, and finishing tasks such as laminating and mounting.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years in sign production, a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work under pressure to deliver high-volume, high-quality

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform QA measures by reading work orders and proofing for errors.
• Finish by laminating and mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Assist in field installations.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Assist in field installations.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
