Job summary

Carle Health seeks a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under supervision and educate patients and families. The PTA will contribute to daily treatment adjustments and maintain accurate documentation in line with policy.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus. The role supports patients across ages with rehab plans and requires active licensure in Illinois and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy assistance is required.
• Licensed PTA in Illinois with IDFPR or equivalent licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Must complete board exam on the next available date.
• Continuing education to meet DNV Hip and Knee Certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts the plan of care in consultation with the PT.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policies.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements.
• Collaborates with the care team throughout rehabilitation and communicates changes.
