Job summary

Curtiss-Wright North America seeks an experienced Mechanic Millwright for our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The role involves installing, moving, repairing and rebuilding machines and major site equipment with emphasis on precision and planning.

Requirements include a high school diploma plus a four-year Millwright apprenticeship or an associate degree in Mechanical Technology, and at least four years of hands-on Millwright repair work. DoD clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology.
• At least four years of experience in Mechanic Millwright repair; includes lathe, milling, boring mill.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, reconstruct, repair and rebuild machines and major site equipment.
• Repair or modify Test Loops.
• PM work including laser alignment.
• Repair machine parts as required.
• Operate lathe and milling machine and other machinist equipment.
• Use department communication devices.
• Work with a variety of machine tools including NC equipment, boilers, pumps, and structural materials.
