Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking an Industrial Machinery Mechanic for our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) office. The role focuses on installing and rebuilding diverse machinery, performing repairs on Test Loops, and conducting regular preventative maintenance, including laser alignments.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma with a 4-year Millwright apprenticeship or 2-year Mechanical Tech degree and at least four years of machining experience on lathes and milling machines. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school completion plus either a 4‑year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a 2‑year Mechanical Tech degree.
• At least 4 years in the field with machining proficiency on lathes and milling machines.
• U.S. citizenship due to Department of Defense requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install and reconstruct diverse machinery with innovative solutions.
• Tackle daily fixes, adjustments, and substitutions for Test Loops.
• Perform preventative maintenance including laser alignments.
• Use mechanical hand tools and power equipment like pneumatic winches and hammer drills.
• Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes and milling machines.
• Interact with manual and precision instruments like transits and pressure gauges.
