Job summary

Midtown is seeking dedicated LPNs and RNs to join our Memphis nursing team. You will provide skilled, compassionate care, administer medications, supervise CNAs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents’ needs are met.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/RN license in the state.
• At least one year of LPN or RN experience in a Long-term Care Setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications and records them; reports adverse reactions according to policy
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and interprets electronic displays
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participates in discharge planning
• Utilizes time management skills
• Records all care information concisely and timely in the appropriate format
• Performs other position‑related duties as assigned
