Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide routine patient care on the Neuro/Trauma floor at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and communicate patient needs to nursing staff to support high-quality care.

The role requires current BLS and CNA licensure, a 12-month commitment for sign-on, and day shift availability with weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA (state of practice) license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: CNA certification and related unit secretary experience may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Document patient data and updates in the medical record.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to the licensed professional.
• Perform basic procedures and provide supplies for unit staff support.
• Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records and ensure proper charting and filing.
• Support transport of patients and assist with unit turnover as needed.
