Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment used during perioperative procedures.

You will help ensure readiness of anesthetizing locations, maintain the cleanliness of the Anesthesia workroom, and manage equipment, supplies, and medications under established guidelines to promote safe, efficient, and cost-effective programs in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Emergency/Medical or related experience
  • Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assists anesthesia personnel with preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment.
  • Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are ready for procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom.
  • Manage equipment, supplies, and medication per guidelines to ensure safety and cost efficiency.
  • Participates in hospital, division, and department activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
