Job summary

Purple Communications is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for Community and VRI services. The role involves providing high-quality video remote interpreting and on-site interpreting while upholding the company’s mission and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualified candidates will hold NAD IV/V or BEI credentials, be fluent in ASL and English, and understand Deaf culture. Some travel may be required and FCC/compliance standards must be met.

Qualifications

• NAD IV/V; BEI Advanced or Master; TX BEI 3/4/5; MI BEI 2/3; or RID certification
• Fluent ASL and spoken English
• Understanding of Deaf culture
• NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct knowledge
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video remote interpreting and on-site interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company’s mission and values
• Provide excellent customer service with a respectful, professional attitude
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies
• Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and fast-paced environments
• Travel as required, with access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
