Job summary

ZP Connect seeks a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to provide on-site interpreting and video remote interpreting services for deaf and hard-of-hearing customers. You will support and model the company’s mission, deliver accurate interpretation, and uphold professional conduct in fast-paced settings.

This role requires ASL mastery and spoken English, current NAD/RID certifications as listed, travel as needed, and reliable equipment for VRI.

Qualifications

NAD IV/V; BEI Advanced or Master; TX BEI 3, 4 or 5; MI BEI 2 or 3; or RID certification required.
Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills essential.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide effective video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers
Support and model the company’s mission and values
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the company and FCC regulations
Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technologies
Multi-task between interpreting and utilizing video-based technology
Participate in company-sponsored training for Professional Development
Meet performance expectations with minimal supervision
Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settings
Ability to travel independently; have access to a vehicle and valid driver's license
