Job summary

ZP Connect is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to provide both video remote interpreting (VRI) and on-site interpreting services for Deaf and hard-of-hearing customers. The role emphasizes professional conduct, punctuality, and high-quality customer service across dynamic environments.

Candidates must hold NAD IV/V, BEI, or RID credentials and be fluent in ASL and English. The position includes travel as needed and requires adherence to FCC regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold NAD IV/V, BEI Advanced or Master, TX BEI 3,4 or 5, MI BEI 2 or 3, or RID certification.
• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video remote interpreting and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a respectful and professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts.
• Adhere to company policies and FCC regulations.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and multi-task between interpreting and using video-based tools.
• Participate in mandatory new hire training and ongoing professional development.
• Travel as required; work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
