Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with proficiency in basic sign language interpretation.
• Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an organized setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of educational implications of hearing impairment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret by signing for deaf and hard of hearing students in classrooms and related settings.
• Assist teachers, counselors, and staff in communicating with students.
• Provide signing support during assemblies, field trips and school activities.
• Maintain records related to student progress and class assignments.
• Ensure proper functioning of hearing aids and assistive devices.
