Job summary

FASTSIGNS Tulsa is hiring for an Installer/Production Specialist to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in getting finished signs or graphics in place, whether on the ground, on walls, or hanging from ceilings.

Expect to move, lift, and assemble a variety of signage installations daily, using a range of tools and techniques. You’ll assess job environments, verify measurements, and work both independently and with other team members.

Qualifications

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Proficiency with hand tools and equipment used in sign installation.
• Ability to work at heights and comply with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offsite sign and print media installations.
• Assess environment to determine installation techniques and requirements.
• Verify measurements and job requirements before starting work.
• Work independently and with teammates as needed.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images and handle various sizes and complexities.
• Operate and maintain printers and related equipment.
• Perform QA checks pre- and post-production to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Complete finishing tasks such as laminating or mounting printed pieces.
• Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs to the center/production manager.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas.

As an Installer/Production Specialist, you’ll play an important role in getting the finished sign or graphic in place so everyone can see it - in the ground, on a wall, on a vehicle or hanging from a ceiling. You’ll use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out. In fact, most of your days will be spent moving, lifting and building for a wide variety of sign installations. A Successful FASTSIGNS Installer / Production Specialist Is

• Responsible for all offsite sign and print media installations
• Able to assess an environment for the needs and techniques of the installation
• Reviews job requirements and verifies measurements before starting
• Able to work independently and with other team members when required
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Installer

• Clean driving record
• 18 years of age or older
• 1-2 years of experience in sign production. Experience in install preferred
• Previous experience in sign installation, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and equipment used in sign installation.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices.
• Basic carpentry, electrical, or welding skills, if applicable.
• Scissor lift and bucket truck experience preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights, such as ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
